We are running out of time to choose to get active in the destiny of our wonderful country. We need George W. Bush to be our next president! Most of us feel overwhelmed by the uphill struggle to get our conservative message across in light of the obfuscating power of the liberal media. Yet, the more they (CNN, ABC, NBC, AP, etc.) shake and dance, the more obvious it should be to us that this election is not over. That is why each of us must become as pro-active as he/she can be. If you are reading this page, you have access to the internet ...you know, that electronic information source invented by Al Gore. If you have access to the internet and have e-mail, you can share this message nearly instantly with thousands of right-minded friends and associates.
Please make a mailing list of such people in your mail manager (Outlook, Netscape, AOL, Yahoo, etc.). That way you can quickly send messages to all. If you subscribe to any of the GOP's mailing lists, you will continuously be sent the latest word concerning plans and strategy for the campaign as well as future appearances by the Governor and Mr. Cheney. Here is a mailing list I just learned about several weeks ago: http://www.echampions2000.com/ Click on this link and you will begin to receive important messages about the campaign, the candidates' stands, etc. on a biweekly basis. This service is paid for by the Republican National Committee.
Find out where your local campaign headquarters is located and volunteer. There are jobs for everyone! If you can lick a stamp, address an envelope, make a phone call, put up a yard sign, distribute voter guides, or walk your precinct, you can help. Don't see anything here that fits your abilities or time schedule? Give 'em a call. They will find a way to put you to work. Each of us matters in this campaign. Never has the participation of individual Republicans meant so much.
Here is a very important suggestion. Do not let yourself become discouraged by the lies of the other side …. or by the liars of the mainstream media who have such a vested interest in the outcome of this election. Seek out decent honest radio and TV programming. You know that you will never hear the truth from CNN (Clinton News Network) so why waste your time and bum yourself out. On the national radio scene we have several good shows. Rush and Michael Reagan are both on KURV 710 which I listen to here in The Rio Grande Valley. Additionally, we have a great local news talk show, The Drive Home, whose hosts, Gary Rodriguez and Tim Sullivan, aren't afraid of reporting the truth. Try to find such a show in your area of the country and then let station management know how much you appreciate this type of programming.
